Coaching Agreement

What is a coaching agreement?

When embarking on coaching – even if only for a single or trial session – it’s recommended to set some basic expectations. This helps us avoid any misunderstandings upfront, as well as provide you with insight into some core aspects of engaging with me as your coach.

Fees

My qualified rate will be £60/hour for the first year. Until I have my qualification (end of 2025) I am offering discounts subject to discussion and also to existing and/or former practice clients.

I offer an initial discovery session in return for a cup of coffee (around £3-4). Please either buy this at the start of the session if we meet in person or if we meet remotely, make a payment afterwards via my Buy me a Coffee profile.

Paying

I kindly ask for payment “at the point of service” and by bank transfer – this should either be prior to, or at the end of, a session. If necessary, on occasion, later the same day if fine.

Confidentiality and ethical practice

I follow the ICF’s (International Coaching Federation) Core Values, Code of Ethics and Competencies. All conversations are private and confidential.

Any notes I take during our sessions are anonymised. Anything written up online is also anonymised and saved securely (e.g. using strong password-protection).

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please avoid cancelling at short notice (i.e. same day) except for emergencies. Please try and let me know at least 24h in advance. The “cuppa sessions” have proved really popular so I’m managing my diary as best I can – a cancelled slot is one someone else could have had (but probably not at short notice). Thank you so much for your help with this.
